Wendy Honnor is a personal development consultant. The story of her career and experiences is an exciting adventure. Her background training is in ethics, philosophy and pastoral care. She is an ordained Minister of Religion. She has studied in the USA, Australia and Europe.
Wendy spent 12 years developing award-winning, post-graduate medical education programs in Australia. She was the principal investigator of a major, behavioral intervention program in 1995-1996 of 2,000 Australian doctors and 60,000 of their patients, designed to improve a doctor's communication skills. Her study proved the hypothesis "Where a doctor's ability to communicate is improved, his patients show a better understanding of their health and are motivated to make positive lifestyle change. And the original purpose of the doctor to be a doctor can be rehabilitated." After this research she became fascinated with the simplicity and power of the basic purpose, effective communication and their ability to create happiness, understanding and good health.
Since 2001 Wendy has worked in the international field of human rights as a negotiator and investigator. This work began after she was part of the grief counselling team at the World Trade Center Ground Zero in New York. As part of a team of Scientology Volunteer Ministers, she was awarded the Medal of Valor by the New York Fire Department for the effective and compassionate work with the rescue workers and firefighters at the site during the rescue and digging for survivors immediately after September 11th, 2001. Since that time, Wendy's international assignments have taken her to five continents.
She is the President and Founder of the successful Apollo Project, a unique drug-free, youth suicide prevention program that has saved many lives in pilots in Australia, the Netherlands, the USA and United Kingdom. This became the basis of The Apollo Foundation, which helps the families and friends of suicidal youth to understand and help them.
Wendy has learned a lot about people in the situations she has faced. With this understanding, she helps her dynamic clients to identify the "real" barriers to reaching their life goals. She helps them to find their basic purpose and to see how this, together with their unique personality traits and talents, can be aligned to create a career and life that is exactly what they always dreamed. She can help you to revitalize any area of your career or life so that you increase your self-confidence and happiness.
Wendy consults and lectures around the world. She lives in Sydney, Australia, the base for her international personal consulting.
It is fun to meet Wendy and unforgettable to work with her.
